Samsung Galaxy S4 is Here! Your Suggestions and Comments Were Turned into a Mockup by Bob Freking! (Video)

Bob Freking asked you to suggest everything you want included on the Samsung Galaxy S4 in this post and you posted a lot of replies, for which we thank you. Now, after carefully analyzing your answers, Bob created the wonderful Samsung Galaxy S4 mockup with specs you can see below, the fruit of your desires and needs. Let's see what this newcomer brings!
Samsung Galaxy S4 is Here! Your Suggestions and Comments Were Turned into a Mockup by Bob Freking! (Video)
So, we're dealing with the 2013 Galaxy S, that features a 13 megapixel camera with backside illuminated sensor, autofocus, 1080p 30 fps video capture. The device is scratch proof and shatter proof and it has an option with an aluminum back as well. There are 6 different versions of back sides to use for this model, that also packs a 3 megapixel front camera with 1080p capture, as well as on screen buttons. Samsung Galaxy S4 has many hidden sensors and is merely 8mm thin, opting for a polycarbonate casing this time.
It also has a camera key and its screen is a 5 inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display with a 1080p resolution. It runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with the TouchWiz Nature UX 2 on top and S Voice and Google Now got combined into a single innovative feature. There's also 2 GB of RAM, a 3500 mAh battery, 32/64 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and a quad core Exynos 5450 2.5 GHz processor. The handset certainly feels like an innovation but considering the Galaxy S III already sold 30 million units, this device has huge shoes to fill…

Sony Xperia Angler is a Quad Core 4.7 inch Smartphone With Aluminum Body

Created by Kittisak Mangmee, the Sony Xperia Angler concept bears the name of the Angler fish and adopts an elongated rectangular design, that's pretty popular nowadays. From its bottom and top profile, the device is shaped like a hexagon, apparently. I can't really figure out the reason for the extra long side buttons, aside from the volume ones…
Sony Xperia Angler is a Quad Core 4.7 inch Smartphone With Aluminum Body
Xperia Angler features a 2 GHz quad core processor, 64 GB of internal storage, 2 GB of RAM and a 4.7 inch Reality Display with the new Mobile X Reality engine. It also has Sony White Magic technology, Dragontrail Glass and a black pearl aluminum body. The designer says that he was inspired by the shape of a crystal and the deep sea fish, that you can see depicted under the name of the smartphone.
No mention of the camera, but I supposed we may be dealing with a sensor between 8 and 15 megapixels. I have to say that Sony hasn't quite release such elongated handsets lately, since they always keep the length well proportioned compared to the width. So, do you fancy this Sony concept phone? Or do you prefer the current Xperias?

Xbox Surface Tablet Rendered, Features 7.5 Inch Display, Quad Core CPU

There's a big fuss about gaming tablets lately, with Archos making one, the Wikipad getting delayed and other models being proposed on Kickstarter. Now Shaik Imaduddin, the creator of the Xperia Vita gaming phone shows us his vision of a Microsoft Xbox Tablet with a Surface twist to it. Meet the Xbox Surface:
Xbox Surface Tablet Rendered, Features 7.5 Inch Display, Quad Core CPU
The Xbox Surface Tablet packs a 7.5 inch 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution display, a quad core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and a custom GPU that offers you the power of a gaming laptop. Other specs include 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal memory, a back 5 megapixel camera and front 2 megapixel camera. If this was a real Xbox tablet, it would definitely have a Kinect integrated, or something like it. It would also use SmartGlass to connect to Windows 8 PCs, Windows Phone 8 devices, Windows RT tablets and the Xbox 360 console.
The main idea of the design Shaik Imaduddin created is that we're dealing with the basic Surface Tablet, but one that now incorporates gaming controls on the side. Thus, on the right side we have the D Pad and analog stick, while on the left there's the other analog stick and the action buttons taken from the Xbox 360 controller. This week potential information about the Xbox 720 console leaked and it included a tablet, that somehow is related to a core unit, like the Wii U somehow… Do you think it will happen? Or is this version of Xbox 720 in "Surface mode" more likely?

Ilumix35X, a Hybrid Phone Concept Made by Combining iPhone 5, Nokia Lumia 920, Galaxy S3, HTC One X

Tung Nguyen sent me an email showing a very interesting phone concept called Ilumis35X. It's basically a combo between the top notch smartphones of the year, ranging from the iPhone 5 to the Nokia Lumia 920, HTC One X and Samsung Galaxy S3. The curved glass of the Lumia 920 and its OS, Windows Phone 8 were used, as well as the trademark color.
Ilumix35X, a Hybrid Phone Concept Made by Combining iPhone 5, Nokia Lumia 920, Galaxy S3, HTC One X
The buttons, the SIM Tray and connector, plus the audio jack position are all iPhone 5. The size, rounded corners and back cover are taken from the Samsung Galaxy S3, while the camera and Beats Audio technology are borrowed from the HTC One X. The handset comes with a Snapdragon 4 1.4 GHz processor quad core chipset, Adreno 225 GPU, a 4.5 inch IPS LCD display and 1 GB of RAM. The device measures 9.5 mm in thickness and at the back there's an 8 megapixel camera, while upfront we find a 1.9 megapixel shooter.
It's interesting to notice that instead of microUSB we get a Lightning connector. I have to say that we could add one more smartphone into the mix, maybe the Galaxy Nexus or LG Nexus 4, since this concept reminds me of them a bit… Maybe the software platforms can also be combined into a single OS, so for example we can run iOS and Windows Phone through separate apps in Android maybe? Anyway, this phone is certainly a hot looking one and I find it truly appealing.

Nokia Zero Concept Brings Pureview Technology in Phase 3

Bob Freking brings us a brand new Nokia concept called Nokia Zero, one focused on a very evolved camera. It's still Pureview technology, but it has reached phase 3, according to Bob Freking. The handset has a huge sensor at the back, that's truly highlighted and set apart from the rest of the case.
Nokia Zero Concept Brings Pureview Technology in Phase 3
The camera uses a 41 megapixel sensor with Carl Zeiss lens and oversampling technology. It provides lossless zoom and optical image stabilization, plus it helps achieve stunning low light photography. Upfront we've got the classic 3 Windows Phone buttons and I can imagine that this model runs Windows Phone 8 or maybe even WP 8.5. There's also a big speaker at the back and also a big flash, maybe a Xenon one or maybe better. In order to fully process the high res pictures made with Nokia Zero, the device would get a quad core Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU, I guess…
I can also envision this model as having 2 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage, a 4.5 inch 1280 x 768 pixel display and some innovative augmented reality apps and camera apps. Since the photo taking is so evolved, photo editing would also evolve to new heights and maybe we'll see a Metro UI version of Photoshop Lite. Anyway, Nokia Zero makes a lot of sense for the future, maybe for 2013, so good job Bob Freking!

Samsung Galaxy S4 Survey by Bob Freking: You Suggest, He Creates! (Video)

I'm sure you've seen Bob Freking's concepts on our website, so he's always open for novelty and this time he has taken on the Samsung Galaxy S4. Instead of creating a concept that looks like dozens of other mockups, Bob wants you to suggest a design and specs. That's why he created the video below, that has already started to get some interesting responses and suggestions.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Survey by Bob Freking: You Suggest, He Creates! (Video)
People seem to believe that Samsung Galaxy S4 will have a 5 inch screen with virtual buttons and most likely Full HD resolution. Polycarbonate for the case is also included, as well as a 2.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad core CPU, although the logical choice would be a next gen ARM Cortex A15 dual core processor, maybe a new kind of Exynos with a revolutionary Mali T6xx GPU. Android 4.2 or maybe even Key Lime Pie may be the OS and keep in mind that these are only my predictions and suggestions, while the end result may be different.
A big 3000 mAh battery would be welcome, but seeing what the iPhone 5 can do with a 1440 mAh battery I'm truly stunned and would like to be impressed by its battery life not capacity… not necessarily. A jump to a 10 or 12 megapixel camera would also be welcome and I'd particularly like a better autofocus then on the Galaxy S III… And all of that put into a beautiful Samsung Galaxy S4 concept, a la Bob Freking! The comments section below awaits your suggestions, as well as the Facebook page!

Nokia Lumia Portable Video Projector is Actually a Good Idea

Edgar Mkrtchyan usually sends us 3D renders of new Nokia phones, but now he imagined a very interesting accessory: a Nokia Lumia projector. The sketch is shown in much detail below and the designer will also come up with a 3D render later on. This is a portable video projector, one for Lumia handsets, a segment of accessories that never really took off till now.
Nokia Lumia Portable Video Projector is Actually a Good Idea
The projector shows everything you see on the handset's screen on a big wall, which can be a good thing for conferences for example. Imagine integrating the Microsoft Office experience with this and sharing PowerPoint presentations synced from your Windows RT tablet to your Lumia for example. How cool is that? Also, watching a movie on the "big screen" becomes easier, even if you're stranded in the mountains. Multimedia content is transmitted via NFC and the device fits in as if it were a "bed".
Nokia Lumia Portable Video Projector is Actually a Good Idea
There's also a big speaker on the side of the projector and the device apparently uses Carl Zeiss technology. The portable video projector has a 3.5 mm jack, 2 ventilation grids, 2 loudspeakers, a micro USB port for charging and a 3000 mAh battery. The 3.5 mm audio jack is used to settle the phone into the cradle. The cool thing is that you can also power the phone with the projector thanks to induction charging. With the 3000 mAh battery you can watch over 8 hours of video. Price this product anywhere around $100 and you've got a hit!
Also, the design looks great and the device is highly portable. Notice the slope it has when placed on the table and directed upwards, very good idea!

Sony Xperia Acro L Concept, by Ben Ling

Sony Xperia Acro L is a mockup by Ben Ling that fits the usual Xperia latest gen pattern of a rectangular phone with 720p screen and top notch camera. We're dealing with a handset with a 4.5 inch HD display, that's also shatter proof and scratch resistant. At the back we've got a 13 megapixel camera with LED flash, plus Exmor RS sensor.
Sony Xperia Acro L Concept, by Ben Ling
The camera can go to 16x digital zoom and also Full HD video recording. At the front there's a 2 megapixel camera with 1080p capture, available on this Xperia Acro L. Inside the newcomer created by Ben Ling we've got a dual core 1.7 GHz Krait processor and as usual with most new Xperia units dust and water resilience is guaranteed. Adreno 230 is brought on by the Snapdragon S4 CPU for kickass gaming and everything is encased inside a 10.5 mm thick package of a device that weighs 122 grams.
The hone has NFC, 1.5 GB of RAM, Android 4.0.4 ICS, upgradable to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean and 32 GB of internal storage. Sony Mobile Bravia Engine 3 and xLOUD experience are also on board. Under the shell we've got a Li-Ion 2100 mAh battery, powering up the device. The phone has a sleek look and there's a casing that seems to surround the body of the Xperia Acro L concept, with a form factor that's a bit Nokia Lumia-ish, if you ask me…

WPhone Concept by Retovona is a Beautiful Windows Phone 8 Design

Designer Retovona came up with a very interesting Windows Phone 8 concept called WPhone. We're dealing with a beautiful handset here, that seems to have an edge to edge screen and a pretty thick metallic body. It separates the screen panel and the lower side of the facade, where the Windows Phone buttons are.
WPhone Concept by Retovona is a Beautiful Windows Phone 8 Design
At the back we've got a big speaker and the device is shown in both white and black. The upper half of the WPhone is a bit iPhone-like and I very much like the discrete notification LED from the right side. Also, the camera mechanism looks elegant and it's integrated in a very subtle way. WPhone has at the lower side a micro SIM holder and micro USB connector, also used to charge the battery. They're covered with a special lid, while up at the top we find a big loudspeaker and a Power/Lock key.
There's also a camera key on the side and I like how the Windows Phone Metro UI fits to the big edge to edge screen. If you allow me to speculate, this would make a very good Surface Phone, with a dual core or maybe quad core Snadpragon S4 CPU, a 4.5 inch display with a 1280 x 768 pixel resolution, 32 GB of storage, 1 GB of RAM and an 8 megapixel camera. Would this make a good Windows Phone flagship for you? In the end I'd like to say that Retovona said on the site where he/she promotes the work he/she does that this may be a last concept. Please encourage the designer, so we may see more work from him/her in the future!

Sony C650X Odin Appears Again, This Time in a Render

Jsus sent us another email, so after showing us the Sony C650X Odin phone in a hands on picture, he now reveals what seems to be a render of the device. He dubs it a Sony Xperia 2013 smartphone and leaves it that way… As usual, we can't tell if he's showing us the real deal or merely a render he created.
Sony C650X Odin Appears Again, This Time in a Render
Sony Xperia Odin was already leaked in a bunch of benchmarks, that confirm it has a big 5 inch display with 1080p resolution, Android Jelly Bean and the famous quad core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor on board, with 2 GB of RAM. Sony has no quad core phone right now in its portofolio, so Odin kind of makes sense. Also, the choice of Qualcomm quad core CPU makes sense, since it's the most popular option right now. In the end the rumors about the Sony Xperia Nexus could also be true, but not this year, since Google already unveiled its Nexuses.
As far as the Sony C650X Odin design goes, we're dealing with a phone that uses no front buttons, so it probably has virtual ones and also a very thin bezel next to the display, probably an edge to edge screen here. This design sort of reminds me of the Nokia N9 combined with Xperia Arc and Xperia S a bit. I also expect at least a 12 megapixel camera at the back, if not a 16 megapixel Exmor R sensor…

Designer Ben Ling proposes a very slight update to the Galaxy Note II, that is supposed to hit the USA stores soon. He imagined the Samsung Galaxy Note II Plus, a device that keeps about 80% of the specs of the predecessor and adds minor changes. One of them is replacing the physical Home button with a touch one and another is making the device less elongated, from what I can see.
Samsung Galaxy Note II Plus by Ben Ling: Less Elongated, Touch Home Button, Better Camera
We're still dealing with a 5.5 inch phablet with a Super AMOLED TFT display and Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection. The screen here supports a 720p resolution and on board we find a quad core 1.7 GHz Exynos 4412 processor, as well as a Mali 400 MP GPU. The OS of choice is Android 4.1.1. Jelly Bean with the promise of updating to Android 4.2 ASAP. TouchWiz is applied on top of the OS and at the back of the device we find a 12 megapixel camera with LED flash and 16x digital zoom.
The camera is capable of 1080p HD video recording and there's also a front 2 megapixel camera, with 1080p capture as well. Inside the phablet we find a Li-Ion 3300 mAh battery and other features available include 16/32/64 GB of storage, 2 GB of RAM, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0. The S Pen stylus is kept and the thickness of the device is 9.3 mm. Would you buy a Note II with these small upgrades?

Sony Xperia W 2013 Concept Runs Windows Phone 8

I can't remember the last time I saw a Windows Phone concept that wasn't a Lumia or a Surface Phone… well, now we have a Sony Xperia Windows Phone 8 device on our hands. Sanjaya Kanishka created this design, with specs that remind me of the Samsung Ativ S a bit.
Sony Xperia W 2013 Concept Runs Windows Phone 8
Sony Xperia W features a 4.8 inch True HD IPS+ LED backlit TFT display, with a 768 x 1366 pixel resolution and 326 ppi. The display uses Mobile Bravia Engine 2 technology and White Magic too, plus Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection. Inside the handset there's a 1.5 GHz quad core Krait CPU, a Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset with Adreno 320 GPU. We also get 2 GB of RAM, 16/32GB of storage and a microSD card slot. At the back there's a 16 megapixel camera, with Exmor R sensor and Xenon flash.
The cam is able to do 2160p 30 fps video recording and it's accompanied by a front 2 MP shooter. HSDPA is available as well, LTE too, DLNA, WiFi and micro HDMI as well. Xloud is available for speakers and Sony Xperia W also has NFC. Powering up the smartphone is a 3500 mAh Li-Ion battery and we even have a price from the designer: 500 euros, free of contract. The design is also pretty nice and looks a bit like the ASUS PadFone, a bit like the Xperia Ray and Samsung Omnia 7 combined.

Sony Xperia Pad and Pad L Concepts are 5.8 Inch Phablets

Ben Ling imagined a bunch of Sony Xperia phablets dubbed Sony Xperia Pad and Xperia Pad L, that you can see pictured below. The devices rely on a 5.8 inch touchscreen, which would fit the rumors we've heard about Sony making  an Android device with a huge diagonal. The 5.8 inch screen here is a Full HD TFT one, that's both shatter proof and scratch resistant.
Sony Xperia Pad and Pad L Concepts are 5.8 Inch Phablets
Sony Xperia Pad's specs include a 16 megapixel camera with LED flash, a HDMI port, Sony White Magic technology and a quad core 2.3 GHz Krait CPU. The handset uses Exmor RS tech for the camera, that offers Full HD capture and 16x digital zoom. There's also a front 2 megapixel camera, with 1080p capture as well. For the graphics we've got an Adreno 320 GPU and the measurements of the device include a thickness of 9.2 mm for the Pad and 9.5 for the Pad L.
NFC is in board as well and the weight of the device is 170 grams for the Pad and 181 for the Pad L. 2GB of RAM and Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean are also here, as well as 32 GB of storage. From what I can see in the pictures the differences between devices are the upper and lower edge of the handsets. You should also know that the Xperia Pad uses a Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery, while the Xperia Pad L has a Li-Ion 3300 mAh battery. Quite an interesting design, but a bit too compact for my taste…

Nexus 10 Tablet Picture Mockups Show Us a Glimpse of the Future

The Nexus 10 tablet has been in the rumors for a while now and leaks are becoming more and more detailed. Some specs have leaked online and before we get a press picture of the device there are some mockups of the 10 inch Nexus tablet I'd like to show you. They're made by Deviantart user CapuchinoMedia, who imagined the fresh family of Nexus devices.
Nexus 10 Tablet Picture Mockups Show Us a Glimpse of the Future
At the bottom we have the LG Nexus 4, the smallest of the gang, then the Nexus 7 and finally the Nexus 10, that seems to adopt the same industrial design as the Nexus 7. From what I've heard the new model will be made by Samsung and it may end up looking like the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and a bit like the Galaxy Note 10.1. Rumored specs include a dual core Cortex A15 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage and a crazy good 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution, courtesy of Samsung technology.
At the back there should be a 5 megapixel camera and other usual features include NFC, WiFi, dual speakers at the front and a front facing camera. The OS here will most likely be Android 4.2, just like on the LG Nexus 4. Hopefully the model will be reasonably priced, although that's pretty hard with such strong hardware. Tomorrow we'll be back with some leaked pics of the Nexus 10 tablet, but till then you have these mockups. Do you like them?

Nokia Lumia 940 Concept is Made Entirely of Carbon

The concept Nokia models made by Edgar Mkrtchyan are simply stunning, so it was a joy when he sent us a new model, the Nokia Lumia 940, made entirely of carbon. The device adopts a more rounded approach to the usual Lumia design and runs Windows Phone 8, as the author claims.
Nokia Lumia 940 Concept is Made Entirely of Carbon
The material at the back reminds me of a knitted sweater or of a basket made of small, flexible branches. It may be the same idea of weaving kevlar like on the Motorola Droid RAZR. Anyway, you should know that the Nokia Lumia 940 features a carbon shell with a large curved screen and inside there's a dual core 1.5 GHz processor, while upfront we've got a 4.5 inch PureMotion HD+ 1280 x 768 screen with Gorilla Glass protection.
At the back there's a 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, dual LED flash and 1080p video capture. Powering up the entire unit is a 3000 mAh battery and as far as connectivity goes, there's microUSB, NFC, Bluetooth and Nokia 3.5 AV. I find this to be a very interesting handset and among the advantages of carbon I can think of is its low weight and pretty high durability. Fancy the Nokia 940?

Sony Xperia Plus Mockup, by Ben Ling, an Atypical Device

Taking a break from all those Xperia bigshots, today we present you with the Sony Xperia Plus, the creation of Ben Ling. This is a 3.7 inch handset with a TFT shatter proof and scratch resistant screen, that supports a 480 x 854 pixel resolution and packs a 12 megapixel camera with LED flash.
Sony Xperia Plus Mockup, by Ben Ling, an Atypical Device
Its design reminds me of a smaller and cheaper Sony handset, an Xperia Mini, but there's more to it than meets the eye. The device's camera features an Exmor RS sensor, with 16x digital zoom and Full HD video recording. There's also a front 1.3 megapixel camera with 720p capture and a dual core 1 GHz Krait CPU inside the phone. The processor is a Snapdragon S4 one, with Adreno 225 GPU and you should also know that the Sony Xperia Plus measures 10.5 mm in thickness and weighs 101 grams.
It sports 768 MB of RAM, NFC, Android 4.0.4 and promises to upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Ben Ling also added 8 GB of storage, Sony Mobile Bravia Engine 3, Sony White Magic tech, xLOUD and a 1750 mAh battery. Finally, we get a multitouch experience with up to 4 fingers and a microSD card slot too. Fancy this model? It's just an Xperia concept, remember that!

Sony Xperia Nexus by Killu Chan, a New 5.5 Inch Phablet with 4 GB Of RAM

While 5 inch seems to be the max diagonal a supposed 2012 Nexus phone could have, Killu Chan goes past that with a new Sony Xperia concept. I'm talking about the Sony Xperia Nexus, pictured below in a new mockup and packing some hardcore specs, that include 128 GB of storage and 4GB of RAM.
Sony Xperia Nexus by Killu Chan, a New 5.5 Inch Phablet with 4 GB Of RAM
The device comes with a LED backlit LCD capacitive touchscreen with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and 5.5 inch diagonal with 408 ppi density. The screen supports multitouch for up to 10 fingers, relies on Sony Mobile Bravia Engine technology and benefits from Gorilla Glass 2 protection. On the connectivity side we've got LTE, HSDPA at 42 Mbps, WiFi, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0, microHDMI and probably NFC as well. At the back of the Xperia Nexus there's an 18 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss Optics Vario Tessar, autofocus, Xenon flash and image stabilization.
Upfront we've got a 3.15MP camera and under the hood there's a Li-Ion 3500 mAh battery. As far as software goes, we've got Android Key Lime Pie running the show, on top of an Nvidia Tegra 4 quad core 2.1 GHz processor. Wireless charging is supported on this revolutionary model, that also relies on a nano SIM card. This model greatly reminds me of a Cybershot camera of sorts and some older concepts from back in 2008 and 2009. This is probably the first phone with the battery, signal and hour moved to the bottom and the virtual buttons so small… Interesting idea!

HTC Two X, Successor of the One X Borrows From HTC Titan II and J Butterfly (Video)

Bob Freking is a regular on our website since no day passes without him emailing a concept to us or two… An example is his latest work, HTC Two X, the successor of the One X. The idea Bob had was to combine the kickass camera on the HTC Titan II with ImageSense technology, the screen of the HTC J Butterfly and a quad core processor. The result can be seen below and teased in the video at the end of the article.
HTC Two X, Successor of the One X Borrows From HTC Titan II and J Butterfly (Video)
So what we're dealing with here is the HTC Two X concept, that packs a 16 megapixel ImageSense camera, a quad core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and a 1080p Super LCD 3 display. Inside is a huge 3000 mAh battery, that would make even the likes of Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX jealous. Also, this model runs "the latest version of Android", that's probably Android 4.2 or should be in the near future. The device also has 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage and I wonder if this one gets a microSD slot or not.
What I remember about the HTC One X from this spring is that it had some screen problems, a bit of overheating, people complained about its lack of microSD card slot and its microSIM tray was hard to remove. The thing I liked most about it was the camera, that frankly speaking is superior to the one of the Samsung Galaxy S III and Sony Xperia S. Are you ready for the Two X?

Sony C650X Odin Phone Pictured – Concept or Leak?

Following the hoax over here, I'm afraid to say the image below shows a real phone, since I wouldn't want to misinform anyone. All I can say is that this supposed Sony C650X Odin handset came to us from the very prolific Jsus, who has made us believe he created real phones before. So, let's find out what the Odin is about.
Sony C650X Odin Phone Pictured Concept or Leak?
Leaked about two weeks ago in benchmarks, this is supposed to be a 2013 Sony flagship phone, one that packs a 5 inch display The handset runs Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean and has a 5 inch display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, for a 441 ppi pixel density. We also get a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad core CPU inside, with Adreno 320 GPU and 2 GB of RAM. HTC recently announced a 1080p display phone, so nothing surprising here.
However, Sony has yet to make an official debut for a quad core phone, so we're waiting on that. The really interesting thing about the image that Jsus sent us (and probably created) is that the facade of the phone is almost all glass, with that 5 inch display being very well integrated and covering the Xperia logo, hidden under glass. I imagine that the Android buttons are now virtual, like on the Galaxy Nexus. Also, It would be cool if the lower side would light up in some way… So, what's the verdict? Fake or real?

Nokia Lumia FX800 Concept by Vilim Plužarić Has a Titanium Unibody Design

Vilim Plužarić created a Nokia concept phone called FX800, that has become famous on a couple of blogs and sites over the past days. We're dealing with an unique smartphone, that started from the idea of the Nokia 8910 Titanium from back in 2002, in a more evolved version. This is a 4.65 inch smartphone with a titanium unibody case and obviously Windows Phone 8 on board.
Nokia Lumia FX800 Concept by Vilim Plužarić Has a Titanium Unibody Design
Nokia Lumia FX800 features a 4.65 inch ClearBlack AMOLED HD screen, a laser cut body and measures just 8 mm in thickness. It packs a 1.5 GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor and 1 GB of RAM, plus 16 GB of storage. These specs are very much like the ones of the Lumia 920 in real life, to which the designer added a 12 megapixel camera. The screen supports a 720p resolution and its design seems to be a combo between the Nokia 8910 Titanium, Nokia X7 and the N9 model from last year.
People have been criticizing a lot the user of plastic materials like polycarbonate for modern handsets. They want the styling of the iPhone 5 with glass and aluminum and I expect that future Windows Phone and Android devices will take that requirement into account. So, are you for titanium or plastic materials? Have your say in the comments below!
